Addons or additional items can be chosen as extras by the user when they are buying a product.

Some examples are:

- For a laptop: extra ram, a carry case
- For a holiday: an extra person.

The steps to creating an add on are:

1. Create the the item that will be used as an add-on. e.g. the carry case, or the extra person.  For details on adding an item, see here Working with Products.
2. Link the add-on item (the carry case) to the main item (the laptop).

Linking an add-on item to the main item

1. Go to the overview page for the main product

2. On the main product view, click "Manage Add-ons"

3.  Click the "Add Group" link to add a new group.  This allows you to group different sets of add-ons.  You always need to add at least one group.

4. Enter the details about your group.  The types will determine if the user can choose multiple add-ons from the one group, or can only choose one item.

4. Click the "Save" button on top right corner to save the details
